What Is 4×2 Timber 3.6m?

Sawn Treated Timber (4×2) 3.6m is a high-quality treated timber available in both C16 and C24 grades. The pressure treatment applied to this timber provides excellent resistance against wood rot, particularly in damp and humid environments (please note that treated timber is not waterproof).

Additionally, the treatment effectively protects the timber from pests that could compromise the structural integrity of your construction. We offer reliable 50×100 timber in various lengths, all with a consistent thickness of 47mm.

Please Note: The finished size of our carcassing timber may vary slightly from the nominal dimensions. You can expect to receive timber that is finished with a thickness 2mm less and a width 5mm less than the nominal measurements stated. Colour and finish may slightly vary as this is a natural product.

4×2 3.6m C16/C24 Timber Applications

Both C16 and C24 timber grades have their merits and can be suitable for various construction projects. While C16 wood is slightly less durable than C24, it still offers robustness and resilience, making it suitable for strength and load-bearing applications.
