The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to our Company. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of United Kingdom. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Order Rights

We have the right to cancel any order. No order is fulfilled without our confirmation of delivery.

Delivery Requirements (Site & Residential Addresses) – PLEASE READ

By placing an order with Trade Timber, you agree to make sure that there will be sufficient people on-site to help offload your delivery or there must be mechanical offload on site. If you require a Moffett offload, please make us aware in the notes at checkout when placing your order.
Nearly all deliveries will be made on a large side curtain boxed lorry, they are a very similar size to a double-decker bus. If your delivery is down a tight road that is not suitable for a HGV please make us aware in the notes when placing the order online. If you have clicked yes to confirm your road is suitable for HGV but we cannot deliver due to the driver not being able to get to the property if there is road / access restrictions then £100+vat is chargeable as a failed delivery. Please see notes regarding failed deliveries and cancelled orders.

Returns Policy 

Here at Trade Timber, we always aim to ensure your order is delivered on time and undamaged. Please examine your goods upon delivery. If you should receive any products damaged upon delivery, we will require you to contact us at the point of delivery and notify the driver. We cannot accept claims in respect of damaged goods or product shortages unless we are notified at the time of the delivery, whilst the driver is still on site. Please make sure your delivery driver is also informed of any damages or shortages when your order is signed for onsite. In terms of damaged materials, we ask that you please send over pictures of the damage so we can investigate this further. This will enable us to resolve the matter ASAP.

Any products that are not 2-3 working days are classed as a special order as we have to order directly with the manufacture, these items are non-refundable and non-cancellable.

In the event that you should need to return an order or part of an order please contact our office on the day of your delivery. Any requests to return any goods after this time may not be considered. All orders are subject to a minimum of a 30% restocking fee & minimum £100+vat collection carriage charge, Collections are around 3-5 working days.

Whilst we will always try to help with any problems regarding your order, we cannot be held responsible for any incorrect orders in terms of the materials ordered or quantity ordered, any amendments after the order has been placed will incur a £35+vat admin fee.

If you should wish to cancel your order for any reason, please ensure it is done within 1 hour after your order has been placed to avoid an administration fee of £35+VAT. To ensure our customers receive a speedy delivery within our estimated time frame, we aim to handle every order within 1 hour. Therefore, any orders cancelled outside of this time frame will be subject to this non-refundable cancellation fee.

If an order is cancelled within 48 hours of its scheduled dispatch, a minimum cancellation fee of £100 plus VAT will be charged. It is important to keep in mind that orders for special items cannot be refunded for example (Kingspan / Rockwool) this is due to us ordering in direct from the manufacture.

Due to high demands and manufacturers’ allocation, most orders placed from Trade Timber will be classed as a special order. (Please see the below special order policy details). If any of your materials have been damaged in transit you have the right to get them replaced.

Any refunds will take up to 14 working days to be processed.

Delivery Policy 

Please note delivery is not available in some parts of Scotland. Please check with us before ordering if you are unsure.

We deliver to UK mainland only. This excludes Northern Ireland.

Delivery times will vary depending on the product and your location. Standard delivery is 2-3 working days on average. Special items can take longer (please see estimated delivery times on product pages). After we receive your order, we will contact you to arrange delivery with you – for more details call our telephone or use our live chat service.

Please note, we do not accept orders from the British Isles such as the isle of man and the isle of wight etc.

When placing an order with Trade Timber, you are agreeing that you have made sufficient arrangements for your delivery such as, the necessary amount of people onsite, or a mechanical offload onsite to help unload and receive your order as we only offer kerbside delivery.

If a Moffett offload should be required, please make sure you have made us aware in the delivery section when placing your order.

Most of our deliveries are made on a large side curtain boxed lorry. Please ensure our vehicles will have sufficient room to fit down the delivery address road. When placing your order, please make us aware of hard to access areas in our deliver section.

If we feel we cannot gain access to your delivery address, we will let you know within 12 hours of your order being placed, however, we cannot be held accountable if the driver cannot deliver. If we cannot deliver due to the driver being unable to gain access to the property, then a charge of £100+vat will be applied due to failed delivery.

If a delivery is made to the site and no one is available to accept the order, the driver will return your order and a member of our will be in contact to arrange a new delivery date. To redeliver on the re-arranged day there will be a minimum charge of £100+VAT. If an order is cancelled after a failed attempt to deliver, there will be an additional £100+vat cancellation fee & restocking fees as mentioned above.

When purchasing items please ask if there is a re-stocking fee. Some products are made to order and are non-refundable. Please see below our Special Order Policy.

Most of our delivers will be very cooperative and willing to help you with your order, please be polite and respectful and they will do their best to ensure a smooth delivery process.

Special Order Policy

At Trade Timber we offer Special Orders to ensure products are specially made to provide the best suit for your specific project, therefore these items are not stocked in our warehouses and are ordered directly with the manufacturer. When placing a special order, please be 100% certain they are the correct materials for your project, as this is made to order, unfortunately the order will be non-refundable & non-returnable.

Special orders are also likely to have longer delivery times. We will always give you an approximate lead time for your products. Although not often, the lead time can vary due to the unfortunate problem the UK faces with building materials & driver shortages.

We at Trade Timber will always do our utmost to make sure that your order is delivered on the expected delivery date and will keep you up to date along the entire process. We cannot be held responsible for any claims due to late deliveries.

Fraud Prevention

Trade Timber are committed to protecting our customers from fraudulent activity. If by any chance your order is flagged by our fraud prevention team, we have the right to hold or suspend your order until the four required documents below can be provided for checks. –

  • UK Drivers licence / Photo ID

  • Copy of utility bill

  • Company registration number (if applicable)

  • Office/Landline number

If you receive an email from Trade Insulations requesting these documents, please make sure you send the required documents in a timely manner. If no action is taken within 24 hours from our email to request information, it is assumed that this is a possible fraudulent transaction and will be reported to the relevant bank for further action. Any cancelled orders before sending documentation may incur an admin fee.
